This Herkimer crystal has a rich hue. It is water clear with a translucent growth occurrence. The strong reflection of this in the photographs is deterring, and takes away from the excellent clarity.
When viewed with a loupe a window and activation facet are revealed. Typically, a Herkimer crystal will have 18 natural facets. A window facet is an extra naturally occurring facet on the gem. That gives this Herkimer crystal 20 small natural facets.
