Depth: 2.5 mm
Notes: A perfect fine quartz crystal with a speck of fossilized plant material suspended within. While this Herkimer Diamond could swing either way, between AA grade and A grade, I believe in this case the anthraxolite inclusion is a real asset to the gemstone. It is only visible from certain faces and the stone itself is water clear. I wish it would have photographed better, the pictures really do not do it justice.
Two 'window facets' show themselves with a loupe. It looks like it was captured in the top photograph.
Grading Herkimer Diamonds can be tricky at times. Please rely on the photographs and descriptions to make your buying decisions; and be confident in knowing the descriptions of the crystals for sale are accurate and sincere.
