This Herkimer crystal is eye clean and rich looking. A minute touch of anthraxolite adds authenticity to the diamond. The crystals are shot with a close-up lens. All AA grade gems have excellent clarity and form.
Herkimer crystals were originally called "Little Falls Diamonds", the town in Herkimer county, NY where the crystals were first discovered. The crystals can be found in Fulton and Montgomery counties as well. Beware of Herkimer's being sold from China; they are not mined in NY state. True Herkimer Diamonds are mined only in upstate New York and are an exhaustible resource.
Our crystals come directly from the mines in central NY state.
