Notes: A double terminated Herkimer Diamond with a great feel and allot going on. While the terminations are not perfect, one has a nice clear area.
Anthraxolite is present, all internally, and give a light smoky hue to the gem.
Also completely internal are many healed fractures. A healed fracture occurred during the crystal's formation. Something caused a crack, or hesitation in growth, as the crystal continued to grow, the fracture was encased within the gem stone, thus 'healing' it. These gemstones are considered powerful healers because of their ability to have healed themselves. While the fractures give the overall Herkimer Diamond a cloudy look, they also allow light to refract, sending colorful spectrums in many areas. If you are looking for a crystal with rainbows, this Herkimer Diamond is for you. View your Herkimer's from different angles and in different lighting conditions to get the full extent of the rainbows. Sometimes it seems the mood of the crystal will reflect the rainbows it is willing to show.
Large enough to fit nicely in the hand, but small enough to be comfortable in a pocket.
