Notes:

A set of 2 Herkimer Diamonds with gum ball shapes. Sizes and descriptions as follows:

  • One 15x11.5x10 mm gem stone that is technically double terminated, but a matrix mark flaws one of the facets next to a tip. It doesn't seem to matter though, because of the fabulous clarity. The crystal is so clear a large 6 sided key mark isn't noticed unless viewed with a loop. The key is shallow, but steps down perfectly geometric (see center photo above). Additionally, 2 window facets are present, both aligned on the same facet line. It displays itself naturally at an attractive angle.
  • One 14x11.5x9.5 mm crystal very similar to the other in the set. There is a bit more matrix and with a loop a splash of drusy crystal shows itself. An interesting inclusion is flat and clear and hovers near the bottom of the crystal. Strong and solid rainbows reflect back from the inclusion.

A very cool set of Herkimer Diamonds, both high quality C grade stones.
