This group of Herkimer Diamond crystals include gems with bridge and twin crystals. Sizes and descriptions:
- Crystal measures overall 15.5x9.5x7 mm. The parent gem is 15.5x9x6 mm and has good shape. Some anthraxolite contact marks are present as well as a smattering of key marks. They baby measures 8.5x4.5 mm and is double terminated, as can be seen in the pictures. It should be a bridge, but it's difficult to see. Overall, the specimen has very good clarity.
- The double termination tips of the 18x11.5x9 mm crystal have just a bit of marring. It has very good clarity and a pale golden hue. The gold color is due to a bit of iron trapped inside the crystal as can be seen in the pictures above. It gives this gemstone 'golden healer' properties. A bridge crystal emerges from one of the facets as a 3 mm point.
- The largest Herkimer Diamond, 20x13.5x10 mm is the twin crystal. While it's difficult to see in the pictures below, this is two gumball shaped crystals joined together at their ends. One is cloudy and one is clear, giving it an overall yin yang feel. Internally anthraxolite is present. Externally there are some clear imprints from anthraxolite and other crystal growth. Rainbows sparkle throughout.
An interesting group of Herkimer Diamond crystals, each with it's own character. |
