This is a cluster of two Herkimer Diamonds. The larger stone, 31.5x24x21.5 mm, lays horizontally. The smaller measures 23x14.5x9 mm and sets vertically.
All crystals have healing properties and Herkimer Diamonds are no exception. According to Melody, author of "Love is in the Earth", Herkimer's are the attunement stone and vibrate to the number 3. They are also used to balance polarity between any two things, such as the energy between chakras, achieving balance between work and home, and for inner ear infections to balance between the ears. I've read Herkimer gemstones are especially good for vertigo.
Crystal healing can take several different forms. Stones can be laid upon the chakras during hands-on energy work. A Herkimer diamond given as a special gift will keep the association between the giver and receiver active. A crystal can also be held and moved across different parts of the body for healing. The double termination points of the Herkimer crystal are especially useful for this, as they are able to draw energy in as well emanate energy out.
Both Herkimer Diamonds in this cluster are complete and technically double terminated. One tip on each of the crystals is perfect, the other is blemished.
Many healed fractures occur in both stones. A healed fracture occurred during the crystal's formation. Something caused a crack, or hesitation in growth, and the crystal continued growing. This caused the fracture, or inclusion to remain completely inside the gem stone. These self healed crystals are considered powerful healers because of their ability to have healed themselves.
Rainbows proliferate in the cluster. Rainbows occur when light is refracted by the prismatic effect of healed fractures and inclusions in the stone. Metaphysical inclined persons believe a rainbow crystal will bring rainbows into ones life; assisting in dealing with negativity.
