This set of quartz crystals has great clarity. Sizes and descriptions:
- This 11.25x5x5 mm gemstone is technically double terminated,
but one point has a marred facet. It has 3 baby crystals present
on different facets (they don't show well in the pictures; a loop
really makes them pop). Additionally, a 'window' facet and a 'right
activation' facet are located near the complete termination point.
- One 12x8.5 mm gemstone, that while it has no complete
points, the clarity is awesome. Only external marring occurs,
nothing inside the crystal. A 'window' facet that is seen clearly
without a loop reflects itself in one of the pictures below.
- One 26x23x12.5 mm quartz crystal with exceptional sparkle.
The sparkle is due to some fascinating growth marks suspended
in the crystal. It reminds me of foil confetti floating inside.
The rainbows are terrific and are captured in the pictures. Some
of these marks come from a water bubble that blew apart at some
point. It looks like a BB hole in the crystal and is referred
to as a "blown out enhydro". The termination points
are a chisel verses the traditional point shape, giving the crystal
more of a tabular shape; unfortunately, both are marred by matrix,
the crystal is complete. This clear quartz has a strong personality.
The majority of facets on these quartz crystals are smooth and
defined. They feel well suited to metaphysical work, however, the
clarity of the crystals would also make them good candidates for
faceting.
They are all high quality D
Grade Herkimer Diamond quartz crystals.
