Notes:

A lot of frosty Herkimer Diamonds, sizes and descriptions as follows:

  • A 22.5x15x12 mm single termination tip (center crystal in the pictures) with great clarity. It is sparkling with rainbows.
  • This 26x19x15.25 mm quartz is also filled with rainbows. It is double terminated, one sharp tip and one chisel tip.
  • The largest gem in the lot, pictured to the left in the pictures, is 'all but' double terminated. It measures 26.5x20.5x17.75 mm. Beautiful rainbows shine in several of the facets.

The rainbows in Herkimer Diamonds occur when light is refracted by the prismatic effect of inclusions and healed fractures. Metaphysical inclined persons believe a rainbow crystal will bring rainbows into ones life; assisting in dealing with negativity. The frosty feel occurs from the area where the crystals came apart from attached quartz. As the pictures show, this lot Herkimer Diamonds have many complete smooth facets.
