Notes: This unusual Herkimer Diamond has a lot going for it. The first thing noticed is the smoky black color. The black anthraxolite is present both inside and outside. Dolomite matrix is also present on the exterior of the stone.
Upon closer examination, the unusual shape shows itself. Almost a scepter, but not quite.
One termination point is technically present, the other marred.
While it is D grade quality, the generous size and interesting shape of this smoky black diamond is unusual. It is actually much darker than the pictures show.
