Notes:

This is a whimsical assortment of Herkimer crystal specimens with matrix. Sizes and descriptions:

  • Measuring 14.5x9.5x6.25 mm overall it is pictured far left. A pretty black diamond point measuring 10x5.5x5 mm sets atop a dolomite matrix sprinkled with drusy crystals. The point has good clarity and an awesome rainbow near a window facet.
  • Overall measurement of this specimen is 15x16.75x11 mm. It consists of a pocket of drusy with a 9.5x7x5.5 mm Herkimer Diamond surrounded by baby crystals. Dolomite matrix covers the outside of this small partial vug.
  • Pictured center left is a 17x13x10.5 mm crystal specimen. A tad of dolomite crystal covers a small area 16x13x10.5 mm Herkimer Diamond. Several baby crystals are found here also. The crystal is complete with key marks on both ends. A window facet along with a right activation facet are found side by side on this gemstone.
  • A 20x13x9.25 mm Herkimer Diamond lays on a bed of drusy crystals. The crystal is technically double terminated, but one tip just makes it.

As with any matrix and gem specimens, when viewed with a loupe they take on a different life. We highly recommend it with all Herkimer Crystals.
