Crystals in the above quartz cluster grew side by side, forming a twin crystal.

Notes:

Two sweet sets of quartz crystal clusters. Sizes and descriptions:

  • A crystal cluster that measures overall 19.25x19x15 mm. The quartz merged at the base creating side by side twin tips. See pictures above.
  • The cluster measures 28.5x17.25x13.5 mm. The twin quartz crystals merged at the termination points. Several baby Herkimer's formed in one area. It has an overall smoky look, see pictures below.

Both quartz crystals formed into two different types of twin clusters, one side by side, the other end to end.
