| Notes: |
This is a complete cluster of three large quartz crystals, two of which have twinned. The largest crystal is double terminated and measures 6+ inches. It is attached to two additional crystals that 'twinned'. When two crystals grow together, yet terminate separately it is called twinning. These crystals have a 'penetration twin', they grew point to point and is much more unusual. The terminations on these twin crystals are just there; one is nicer than the other.
The front of the cluster has smooth facets and minimal blemishing for the size.
The back as the image shows is quite marred. Two large key marks are on the back as well.
While this quartz crystal cluster is overall cloudy, its large size makes it quite special. |
