Notes:

The Herkimer quartz crystals on this set of specimens all have fair to good clarity. Sizes and descriptions:

  • A 16x16x11 mm piece of dolomite with a 16x10.5x9 mm Herkimer Diamond. Pictured left above, the crystal is almost double terminated.
  • The matrix pictured to the right measures 16.5x11x8 mm. The sharp point measures 16.5x8x6 mm and has a small amount of anthraxolite present. Nice clarity and a rainbow.
  • The largest specimen measures 17x15x8 mm. The clean and clear point measures 11x9.5x6.75 mm and is surrounded by smaller crystals.

Each of the Herkimer quartz crystal specimens in this set have their own character.
