| Notes: |
Druse, also called drusy crystals are the tiny crystals that coat the walls inside pockets, or vug's. These crystal points are less than 2-3 mm in size. They can also look like a sugary coating.
Baby Herkimer crystals on the other hand are usually more than 3 mm and can be double terminated.
This is a set of three druse specimens, sizes and descriptions:
- The smallest is 19x13x10.5 mm with dark gray color, pictured on the left.
- A 22x22x13.5 mm dome shape pictured to the right in the images. Anthraxolite dust is scattered across the piece.
- The 27x13x12 mm specimen has clear druse crystals and a small area of crystallized anthraxolite.
Any of these druse specimens could be used as a mount to set a favorite crystal of gemstone on. |
