This dolomite matrix is covered in a sugary coating of dark gray drusy crystals. It's actually the inside wall of a vug. A specimen like this makes a unique display shelf. We include a pretty cluster, but you may want to use one of your own favorite specimens.
The pictures above show the matrix specimen with and without the crystal. The center picture is the crystal included.
The cluster measures 16.5x12x9.5 mm. Three double terminated crystals; a 12.5 mm, 7 mm, & 3.5 mm, sit upon a 16 mm that is sheared in half. Some internally captured anthraxolite give the specimen a smoky color and overall clarity is good.
With one side of the dolomite matrix sparkling with tiny crystals and the other flat, it's an ideal way to display any mineral specimen. Micro collector's love the dark drusy as well.
