Notes:

All specimens in this trio of quartz twin crystals have great clarity. Sizes & descriptions:

  • A twin crystal measuring 10x7.5x8.5 mm photographs below. Both crystals are the same size and joined at one of the tips.
  • An 11.25x8.5x6.5 mm cluster, photographs at the top. The double terminated crystal (about 7 mm) setting atop is covered in geometric well defined key marks (see photographs). The longer crystal is double terminated as well and sports some external anthraxolite.
  • The 11.5x10x8.5 mm Herkimer Diamond has a round gum ball shape. The smoky color comes from a bit of drusy matrix on one facet. It can be seen in the photograph bottom left. A small baby emerges from another facet.

Twinning is an inter growth of two separate crystals. This is a sweet set of clear quartz twin crystals.
