Notes: |
A quartz crystal with unusual hopper growth marks. A
hopper crystal grew rapidly in stages. Each time new
growth started and stopped, a step occurred. At
termination you have a crystal that looks like it grew
wildly in different directions stepping up to a center
point. This pattern is external and is also referred to as
'negative skeletal' quartz.
Other than the hopper growth mark, just a touch of black
hydrocarbon is present externally.
Internally, this is a completely clean Herkimer Diamond.
This hopper quartz crystal has excellent clarity and an
atypical elongated shape.
