The gemstone is double terminated, as befits any B Grade Herkimer crystal. The terminations are special, as one has the traditional point, while the other is a chisel tip. A common termination point occurs when six faces (or facets) join together to form a point. An alternate is when the facets come together with a flat edge. This is not as common, and referred to as a chisel tip.  Because Herkimers are naturally double terminated, it is believed that they have the ability to receive or transmit energy from both ends.
