A generous size and good clarity for a double terminated Herkimer quartz crystal. Additionally this crystal was charged outside during the 3 day solstice event in 2016.
Not seen since 1967, the unusual 2016 Summer Solstice event included a full moon. Coined the Strawberry Moon by the Algonquin tribes because June’s full moon signaled the beginning of the strawberry picking season. This Herkimer Diamond was charged outside during that 3 day solstice period - June 20 - 23, 2016.
Since Mother Earth created this crystal over 300 million years ago, no one but myself and my husband have ever touched it. A most unusual metaphysical feature for any crystal or stone.
This particular crystal has some interesting clear inclusions, including a mirror-like inclusion that sparks rainbows.
Externally some black hydrocarbon is present as well as 2 key marks. One is a well defined 6 sided key.
The gold color in the pictures (iron oxide residue) is not nearly this strong in person, but it does give the crystal golden healer properties. The iron residue that causes this color is external and can be removed. We always leave this decision up to our clients.
A unique, sparkly double terminated Herkimer quartz crystal. The pictures represent it well.
